Ernestine Pries

 

On a quiet Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2013, Ernestine A. Pries peacefully passed at her home in Tripoli, surrounded by her loving family and supportive caregivers (Stacy, Mary, Hellen, and Lisa).

Private family funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, October 24, 2013, at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli with Rev. Shannon Perry officiating.  Interment followed at Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery in Tripoli. Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli assisted the family. 

Ernestine was born in Funkley, Minnesota on August 4, 1924. She attended school in Funkley and later resided in Blackduck, Minnesota. She went to the Twin Cities after high school to work and was introduced to Millard Pries of Tripoli. They were married on September 1, 1946, at Faith United Church of Christ Parsonage in Tripoli. They had one child, Marilyn. Ernestine was also blessed with two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ernestine loved her birds, sewing, cheering on the Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves, and making wonderful memories, with the loves of her life, her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marilyn (Jay) Demaray of Evansdale; her grandchildren, Aaron (Elizabeth) Sievers and their children, Tanner and Mya of Delano, Minnesota and Kristin Sievers of Indianapolis; two half brothers, Jim Dexter and Leon Dexter, Jr.; and three half sisters, Leota Hines, Joyce Evans, and Diane Sullivan.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Millard on July15, 2007; two brothers, Bruce Wooden and Donald Wooden; and two sisters, Dorothy Crittenden and Erlys Conklin.

I'm so sorry for your loss & can understand how painful & difficult it is. I had mailed a sympathy card to you but apparently I didn't have the correct address. Your Mom was a wonderful, kind unique lady who has left many fond memories. May those treasured memories help you thru the days ahead. Keeping all of you in my thoughts & prayers.
